Share the Candy Cane Legend

Share the Candy Cane Legend
withe you children of grand children.
It's an adorable story and kids will
remember it every time they are given
a candy cane.
 These Candy Cane Story Bookmarks
are also easy to make and make
great things to pass out.
If you work in an office you could
place a basket full on your desk.
Or - let the kids pass them out to
classmates at school!
Christians need to use their right
to free speech and refuse to be quiet!
To make these, just print the design,
laminate the paper if you wish
and then cut out and attach a ribbon.

Then glue a candy cane on the back.

The story says:

Jesus is the Gentle Shepherd,
and this cane of red and white
proclaims the humble story
born on Christmas night.

This cane, you see,
when turned around
begins His name of Love
and now becomes a symbol
of peace proclaimed above.

The lively peppermint flavor
is the regal gift of spice.
The white is His purity
and the red His sacrifice.

And so this cane reminds us
Just how much He cares
and like His Christmas Gift to us
it's meant for all to share.

Merry Christmas

  1. Yes, we taught our kids and they taught their kids about the candy cane. I always think of Jesus when I see them in boxes in the stores.
All our family will be here for T'giving lunch tomorrow...I have everything ready to stick in the oven in the morning. Brownies are baking and need to run ck them...
