A VERY SERIOUS WARNING!!!!!!!

 This is a SERIOUS WARNING!
People.....we have to pay attention!

It has just been brought to my attention that Zondervan, who is the publisher of the NIV version of The Bible has been bought out by  Harper Collins.

Now.... if you have a public schooled child - you may be familiar with Harper Collins. They are a major curriculum publisher. But - what you may not know is that Harper Collins also publishes books that teach things that are contrary to God's word. Book such as
and

Harper Collins if now re-writing it's Bibles.
Not only are they making it gender neutral, they are removing words such as Jehovah, calvary, Holy Ghost and omnipotent.
This is totally WRONG!

If you believe that
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John1:1-3

Then you know that the Bible is perfect as it is and that
it doesn't need changing.
GOD'S WORD IS HOLY!
It should be preserved!

Try and find these scriptures in the NIV (some ESV Bibles have also been affected) on your computer, phone or device right now if you are in doubt:

Matthew 17:21
Matthew 18:11
Matthew 23:14
Mark 7:16
Mark 9:44
Mark  9:46
 Luke 17:36
Luke 23:17
John 5:4
Acts 8:37

And if you don't have a print version of The Holy Bible, it would be a very good idea to go out and buy one. That way - you can be sure to have one that has not been effected by these changes. I personally read the KJV, and to my knowledge the KJV has not been changed. But - the real point I want to make is - we all need to hold fast to what we know is true. We need to hide God's word in our hearts..... and we need to study it daily so we are not deceived.
Please, please, please make sure you have a Bible with the above verses in it. One that is not gender neutral and that hasn't been tampered with. Keep an extra copy. We've all heard of people keeping survival supplies, such as food and emergency provisions, but spiritual survival is so much more important than physical survival - and our spiritual survival is being threatened. Don't be caught off guard. Keep a Holy Bible close at hand!

And remember - electronic versions of the Bible are often updated. The Bible is timeless and needs no updating. If you want to read on a Kindle or and iPad, that's fine - but keep a REAL Bible on hand and be aware of any updates to your electronic editions.

GUARD YOUR BIBLES!

A Missionary is Coming.....

Our sweet Gracie wants
to be a missionary!
She is always thinking of ways
to share with others.
From putting together
Christmas Gift Bags
for the Homeless to
writing Bible verses on the
sidewalks with sidewalk chalk,
our Gracie has it in her
heart to spread the gospel.
And - she's coming to
my house TONIGHT!
She had her Momma call
yesterday to let me know
she wants to do a balloon release.
She wanted me to prepare
verses to tie onto balloons
to release into the sky
to go where ever God sends them.
 So here they are!
Our little ones don't have to
wait to be missionaries.
They don't have to grow up first.
They can be missionaries
right where they are by just
spreading God's love and
God's word.
AMERICA needs missionaries
as bad as anyone!
So - if your children would
like to do their own
balloon send off, you may

free printables.

Words Are Not Just Words

I know I'm a little peculiar
and my thoughts are very different
from the vast majority of people.
Spiritually, I'm a minority.
Sin bothers me.
And it breaks my heart to hear
a loved one speak profanity.
WORDS are IMPORTANT
WORDS are POWERFUL
WORDS can be HEALING
and
WORDS can be HURTFUL
And by your own words, you will
be justified or condemned.

Using bad words is being
directly disobedient to God!

Graceful words are
pleasing to God!

And there is POWER in your WORDS!

Our speech is something I think
we can all improve on. Even those of
us who do not use curse words,
can ask God for wisdom when it comes
to our words and learn to speak
more graciously.
Let's use our words wisely.
Let's speak life into our children
and grand children and to
those whose lives we touch.

Let's remember what THE WORD
tells us about words and let
us come to an understanding that
words are not just words.
 WORDS are POWER.
 Use them wisely!

Mother's Day Gift Idea & Free Printable

I've been keeping Grace and Olivia
this week, so we have been
doing lots of fun things.
AND - I thought I'd share this idea.
(Heather - Don't Look!)
We went camping last Friday and came
back Monday evening before our area
got hit with all this rain.
While camping we made S'mores and
according to Grace, they are her Momma's
favorite. So - what could be better
than a S'more making kit for Mother's Day?
I made a template for the label and
each girl got to pick her design.
The we printed, cut and stapled the label
to the top of a regular zip lock
sandwich sized bag. Inside we put
One Chocolate Bar, 2 Graham Crackers
and 2 Square Campfire Marshmallows.

Here is Grace's:

And here is Olivia's:

And here are the printable labels
to make your own!

The Prayer Chain - A MUST READ Children's Book

I picked this book up this morning
at a yard sale in my neighborhood.
The moment I read it,
I knew I had to share.

It's about a little girl whose Mother
belong to a prayer chain.
When she gets called to pray,
she calls the next person on the chain
and then goes to pray.
When a prayer is answered, she gets
a call, and calls the next person
as well. But - her daughter also,
writes each answered prayer
on a slip of paper and puts it
into a jar. At Christmas
time they are out of wood, their
house is cold and her Mother is
praying for the needs of others.
It snows - and the girl prays for wood
because she knows it's going to
be unbearably cold if they don't get
some soon. When she wakes up
Christmas morning and looks
out at the freshly fallen snow, she sees
a stack of wood and a slip of paper
around the door knob that says,
'God Bless You'
She then, gets an idea and uses this
strip of paper and all of the strips of paper
in the prayer chain jar to make a
prayer chain to decorate their
Christmas tree.
To make a prayer chain for your own
Christmas tree - you might want to
start a jar of answered prayers now.

And - this book is out of print,
but there are a few on Amazon
that are reasonably priced.
And there are a few very expensive
ones on eBay!
I paid a dollar for mine and it looks
like I got a REALLY good deal!

Do You Wish You Could Change The World?

Have you ever wished you could
just change the world?
You look out at God's beautiful
creation and you see sin everywhere.
It seems that people
seem to think that
their life is their own to live
as they please, and the boundaries
between right and wrong are
becoming non-existant
in their eyes.

I feel that way a lot. But - I am at peace
with it all for the moment.
There is little I can do to change
things, anyway.
But - I can pray! I will pray!
And I'd like to encourage each
of you to pray, also.
Then - we can be at peace knowing
that changing the world
is a task that God alone is able
to handle. He can and He will accomplish
what He desires to accomplish.
It's so peaceful coming to that
realization. We don't have to worry
about the world we live in. We just
have to follow God, each and every day,
and do the simple little tasks
He gives us. We may change SOMETHING,
but changing the world will
be up to Him!

It is time for thee, LORD, to work:
for they have made void thy law.
Psalm 119:126

Happy Easter!

Take some time to reflect
on the true meaning of
this Holy Day!
And thank God for His
very special gift!
